Window Tinting

One of the cheapest and therefore most popular methods of customising a MINI is to apply a tints to the windows. Besides making a dramatic change to the look of your MINI some other benefits also include

Reducing glare from the sun
Reducing fading to the interior of your MINI
Blocks a high percentage of harmful UV Rays
Helps keep glass in place in the event of it breaking
Can keep your MINI cooler and more comfortable in hot weather (remember not all MINIs come with Air Con)

Whilst we can tint any window you like on your MINI, there are regulations enforceable by Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) who are empowered to stop vehicles for roadside checks. The legal position is that the front side windows on all MINIs must allow 70% of light to pass through them. That figure also applies to the windscreens of MINIs first used before April 1985; any MINI first used from then onwards has to let 75% of light through the windscreen.
